ABout me

I’m Benito Antonio Zapata, an architecture graduate with a strong passion for modern and sustainable housing design. My academic background at the University of Miami School of Architecture, along with international experience at the Open City Studio in Tokyo, has shaped my ability to approach design with both cultural sensitivity and technical precision.

Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience through internships with firms such as Obras Studio in Coral Gables and Ogarzio Zapata Arquitectos in Los Cabos, where I worked on schematic design, construction documentation, and project presentations. These opportunities allowed me to engage with a variety of project scales, from small residential developments to larger commercial projects.

I believe architecture is not only about creating spaces, but about improving quality of life through thoughtful, functional, and sustainable solutions. My work is influenced by a balance of creativity and technical detail—whether modeling new proposals, collaborating with senior architects, or engaging in interdisciplinary teamwork.

I’m eager to continue exploring how architecture can shape communities and contribute to building a more sustainable future.
